"With its jewel-box décor; live piano music and formal service, L'Autre Saison provides the ideal setting for a romantic dinner or celebration. Chef Alain Boucher's classic French cuisine features top-quality ingredients. The wine list favors customers willing to splurge. "
I had called from Ottawa several days in advance to make a reservation for two of us from Ottawa ad four dear friends from Virginia who had not been to Montreal before. I was told to ask for Kazim, who said he would look after us, which I did and we spent an enchanting evening. We all ordered the night's specialty, the rack of lamb and it was superb. Our friends were very impressed with the restaurant, the food, the ambience, our lovely table in the bay window with a view of Crescent Street and everything was perfect. We definitley hope to be back again to your restaurant.
Many thanks from all of us.
Joan.
We are greatful for your service and honesty. Our 30th anniversary will be fondly remembered because of our time in Montreal and your restaurant. We hope to be back very soon!

The restaurant gave us a perfect first night in Montreal; and set the tone for a fantastic weekend.
The dining rooms are stunning (we got a short tour of the resturant after dinner). We sat on the main floor (downstairs); our waiter was perfect.
When I expressed my concerns to our waiter that I wanted a bottle of wine, but needed to keep the price down and had no familiarity with french wine - he suggested an amazing bottle - which came at a package store price.
The soups we loved - the french onion was very deep, rich and cheesy - the lentil was to die for. From here we moved into snails smothered in a cream sauce; a duck leg, and foie gras. More wine, and suddenly a rack of lamb, a veal chop and sole took center stage. This was followed by dessert, a cheese board - and a few complimentary after dinner drinks.
Hopefully you are getting the feeling that we loved the place.
We did love it.
This is not the Grammercy Park Tavern; it's not about 1 single course being perfection, it's not a lot things.
It is exactly a wonderfully beautiful; very comfortable, 30 year old French resturant - that serves classic french food.
It's everything - the waiter, the service, the food, the table, the room - it all added up to a perfect night.
My wife, my son [13] and I - we will be back; it was a great place.

My husband, daughter & I happened on this restaurant while wandering about the city. We went in for lunch and were so impressed, we went back for dinner. The decor, the service and the food were wonderful. This is the French Restaurant I've been searching for (in every city I visit!). They made us feel so welcome. We each had different appetizers and entrees and all were wonderful. My regret is that I live 10 hours away.

We have been loyal fans of L'Autre Saison for 25 years. Owners Kazim and Alain never fail to make a special occasion memorable. The cuisine, service and ambience make us proud to be Montrealers when we take out-of-town guests for a wonderful evening. I can recommend anything on the menu. It will always live up to their high standards.

've been to many restaurants in my life, and I have to say this was probably the best dinner experience ever. The food was outstanding, everything was perfectly cooked and the presentation was breath taking. Perfection has been reached after 30 years, it comes as no surprise that the restaurant has made it this far. The service was impeccable, the waiters, bus-boys, and the manager made it a wonderful experience with jokes, entertainment, and an overall atmosphere of sheer delight. I praise this restaurant in every category. If you visit Montreal or life this this great city, I strongly recommend this restaurant, it will surely be an unforgettable experience.

My wife and I recently dined here during our anniversary get-away to Montreal. The atmosphere, cuisine, service, wine list, hospitality made it a very enjoyable and memorable experience. I highly recommend this more traditional dining experience over the trendy options that we encountered on our other nights.
We are looking forward to returning to Montreal and L'autre Saison will be the first reservation we make when we do.
This time I took my wife to my buissnes trip to montreal I stay at Loew hotel , at the front desk i ask for French food , they made a reservation at L'autre Saison , it was four minutes of walking distance , right in the middle of town, We both had a Lamb Rack , the best I ever had and my wife enjoy it very much one time i saw her eating with her finger. The staff was friendly & the owner makes us like part of his family. Now that I am back I will tell all my friend if they ever pass by in Montreal to visit L'autre Saison.Hoping my buissness will take me to montreal - great city, if it not i will plan a vacation.
Excellent french restaurant with quality of meal, service and price. I have a small boutique hotel in downtown Montreal ,it calls " Parc Suites Hotel"and I always recommend this restaurant to my guest and with % 100 satisfaction garanti. The owner is really likes what is he doing and takes care of all his client one by one. The attitude of the waitress are so nice and warm. The quality of meal is unbelievable. I go almost twice a week and I did not see anyting bother me about this restaurant. The rstaurant is a upscale restaurant, even thought is a 5 star restaurant, it is not expensive restaurant, besides wine collection, if you are good wine client, you can find really interseting collection
